10 Foods to Avoid with GERD (Acid Reflux)
GERD or acid reflux as it is commonly known as is a disease of the digestive system wherein the stomach acid starts to irk the food pipe. A sore throat, chest pain, heartburn, and bad breath are among the common symptoms of GERD that are seen in adults.
What types of food to avoid?
There are certain foods which one must avoid when affected by GERD or acid reflux as they may further amplify the symptoms or the issue. GERD is a curable disease but if one refuses the need to take precautions in diet then it may translate into larger health issues which could be hard to treat. In order to let the acid reflux retreat, you must avoid foods that are high in fat content. Foods that are high in fat defer the process of stomach emptying hence.

1. Butter
